I love the Rimpa tradition of Japanese art. I wanted my garden to be painted in the style of Sotatsu and Korin. I love the challenge & technical difficulty of aligning the images. As there was no gold or silver ink, to make the gold & silver backgrounds, special powder was mixed into the paint.
